Clarksville, Ark.- Mississippi College took control of the game late in the first half and went on to a 87-56 win over the Lady Eagles on Thursday night in American Southwest Conference play.
Ozarks (1-15, 1-10) battled to a 7-7 tie when Erica Eneks nailed a three-pointer early in the first half. The two teams traded baskets for the next five minutes before the Lady Choctaws (9-8, 6-6) built a double-digit lead going into halftime. The Lady Eagles couldn’t tighten the score under 20 points in the second half.
Freshman guard Kayla Quertermous had her best game of the season, scoring 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. She hit 4-of-6 from the three-point line. Olivia Fisher had a team-high 8 points.
