The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.

Lady Eagles Suffer Double Overtime Loss In Season-Opener

Holly Springs, Miss.-The U of O women?s basketball team suffered an emotional 66-59 double overtime loss in Thursday night?s opener against Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi.

A low scoring first half had the Lady Bearcats (1-0) in front just 14-13 after twenty minutes of play. Tamara Wilkett hit a three-pointer and a pair of free throws to put the Lady Eagles (0-1) ahead 33-28 with 10:30 left in the game. After Chelsea Glasscock nailed a three-pointer with under five minutes to play, Rust eventually took a narrow lead with 53 seconds remaining. In the first overtime, the Lady Eagles held the lead briefly, but it was enough to send the game into another extra period. The Lady Bearcats controlled the second overtime and outscored Ozarks 12-5.

Kindra Davis posted a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Wilkett also finished in double figures with 11 points. The Lady Eagles were outstanding at the free throw line, hitting 21-of-22 (95%).

Ozarks will travel to Conway to face Central Baptist College this Saturday.
