Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks softball team split with Hendrix College in their season finale on Sunday in Conway.

The Lady Eagles completed an eleventh inning rally to earn a 7-3 victory in game one. Hendrix (27-12) came back in the second game with a 4-3 win. Ozarks ends the season with a 14-23 overall record and a 3-19 record in conference play. With the score tied at 3-3 in the top of the eleventh, three of the first four batters singled to load the bases. Ozarks was able to push all three across the plate in addition to the runner placed on second to begin the inning. Ozarks finished with three hits and took advantage of one Hendrix error in the inning. The game saw a scoreless seventh, eighth and ninth, but that changed in the top of the tenth when Ozarks got on the board when Kara Bartholomew stole home. That run proved to be important since the Warriors scored in the bottom half of the inning. Bartholomew reached base on a single to lead off the inning. Andrea Mitchell (6-5) received the win after coming in to relieve Dana Marvin. Mitchell pitched five and one-third innings. Jeanne Randall, Dara Clark and Bartholomew each collected two hits. Ozarks come-from-behind rally in the game two came up short as Hendrix closed out the deal in the Lady Eagles final at bat to gain a 4-3 victory. Trailing 4-0 after four, the Lady Eagles got on the board in the top of the fifth when Danielle Dirks singled in Bartholomew. The Lady Eagles added two more runs the next inning. Marvin led off the inning with a triple and Trenda Neff followed with a single to score Marvin. Tiffany Armstrong scored on an error to give Ozarks their final run of the game. Armstrong doubled to reach base. Ozarks out hit Hendrix 10-8. Dirks and Bartholomew had two hits. Chanceree Catlett (6-9) took the loss.
