Lady Eagles Split In Pair Of Contests In Georgia

Atlanta, Ga.-The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team went 1-0-1 in their trip to Georgia over the weekend in non-conference play.

The Lady Eagles used a free kick in the 6th minute by Jessalyn Halsted to down Agnes Scott College 1-0 on Saturday in Decatur, Georgia. It was Halsted’s second game-winning goal of the season. Ozarks’ goalkeeper Olivia Fisher had 8 saves in the win. The Lady Eagles took Oglethorpe University to overtime and ended the match with a 1-1 tie in Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. The non-conference battle saw freshman Marisa Maldonado score in the 15th minute, but it wouldn’t be enough as Oglethorpe later found the net to tie the match. Ozarks moves to 3-0-2 on the season.
