The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.
Despite this, Ozarks is aiming to roll out financial aid packages within two weeks of receiving FAFSA information.

Lady Eagles Split At Saturday?s ASC First Pitch Tournament

Farmers Branch, Texas-The Lady Eagles took a 5-0 win over Concordia University Texas in their first game of the day at the American Southwest Conference First Pitch Tournament Saturday, but dropped game two as Texas Lutheran University recorded a 5-0 shutout.

Against Concordia University Texas (6-4), Ozarks (5-3) broke a scoreless game in the second with a two-run double by Brittany Wagnon. The Lady Eagles then scored three runs on three hits in the sixth. Wagnon led off with a single and Heather Roberts knocked a double to left field to score Wagnon. With Roberts on third base, Meghan Smith was hit by a pitch and then stole second. Casey Mays delivered a timely single to score two more runs and extend Ozarks’ lead to 5-0.

Amber Rollins (4-2) did her part to record a shutout by striking out seven.

Wagnon and Mays each had two hits to lead Ozarks at the plate.

In the second game against Texas Lutheran (4-4), the Lady Bulldogs scored a pair of runs in the first inning and then added three more in the fourth to take control of the game. Ozarks had a runner in scoring position in the fifth and another in the sixth, but couldn’t push either across the plate.

Rollins suffered the loss.

Ali Mathis went 2-for-3.

Ozarks will host LeTourneau University March 9-10 in their American Southwest Conference East Division opener.
