Lady Eagles Shutout By Louisiana College

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles out shot Louisiana College 24-7, but it was the Lady Wildcats that came out on top 1-0 in an American Southwest Conference match on Thursday night.

Ozarks (2-2-4, 1-2-1) dominated statistically, holding a 8-3 shots advantage in the first half, and then came out in the second half and fired off 16 shots. The Wildcats (5-4-0, 4-1-0) had only four shots in the second half, one of which would prove to be the game-winner. Louisiana College’s Andrea Starr scored in the 82nd minute to secure the match. The Lady Eagles had 16 shots on goal during the contest. Jessalyn Halsted had eight shots. Lori Langman had three saves for Ozarks.

Ozarks will travel to Clinton, Mississippi, to face Mississippi College for a match against the Choctaws on September 29.
