Pineville, La.-Vicky Romero scored 36 seconds into the match propelling the Lady Eagles to a 2-0 win over Louisiana College in American Southwest Conference play Friday afternoon in Pineville, Louisiana.
Romero posted her 13th goal of the season in the match as she has proven to be among the most dynamic players in program history. Kanisha Eckart had the assist. The Lady Eagles (7-11-0, 2-7-0 ASC) were outshot 17-5 in the match, but still held a 1-0 halftime advantage. Ozarks struck again in the second half with a goal from Frances Adams in the 68th minute. Mary Eoff kept the shutout intact in the second half by fighting off 11 shots and recording five saves in goal. Louisiana College fell to 4-11-1 overall and 2-6-1 in the ASC.
Ozarks will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face Texas-Dallas in its final match of the season November 2.
