Lady Eagles Picked Second In Preseason Poll

Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O women's basketball team was picked to finish second in the American Southwest Conference's East Division, according to a preseason poll made up of ASC coaches, sports information directors and selected media.

The Lady Eagles, who finished 12-13 last season and finished third in the conference standings, received one first place vote and had 113 total points. Mississippi College was picked to finish first after accumulating 150 total points. The Lady Eagles return three starters from a year ago including all-conference players Mandi Carter and Jenna Corbell. Corbell finished second in the conference in scoring (20.3) and rebounding (9.9) last season.
