Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles held off a late Rhema Bible College rally as Ozarks picked up a 70-63 win behind a 10-point, 15-rebound effort from Olivia Fisher on Tuesday night.

Ozarks (2-2) seemed to have the game in control, building a comfortable 51-28 second half lead with 12:44 remaining. But Rhema wouldn’t go down easily, making it a two-point game eight minutes later. Rhema (0-8) closed the gap to 64-61 after hitting a three-pointer with 1:12 left, but Ozarks responded by sinking six straight free throws to thwart the comeback.

Fisher scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds to help Ozarks to a 34-24 halftime lead. Ozarks opened up the second half with a 17-4 run to hold a comfortable 23-point lead. Sabrina Goddard scored 11 points during that stretch and Lacey Phillips drained a pair of three-pointers to help fuel the run.

Both Phillips and Goddard each scored 14 points, and Alison Villines added 11 points.

Ozarks will travel to Austin, Texas, to face Concordia University Texas November 29 for their American Southwest Conference opener. Ozarks will then play Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, December 1.
