Lady Eagles Gain ASC Win

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles (2-9-0, 2-4-0) used two goals in the second half to oust LeTourneau University in an American Southwest Conference match on Saturday.

Sophomore Marissa Andrade (Corpus Christi, TX) scored in the 79th minute to give the Lady Eagles a 1-0 lead. Andrade’s rocket from fifteen yards out came from senior forward Lisa Hilton (Red Oak, TX). It was Andrade’s second goal of the season. Ten minutes later, senior defender Anne Obermueller (Derby, KS) booted a penalty kick to give Ozarks a 2-0 victory. The Lady Eagles out shot LeTourneau 19-5, with sophomore forward Lindy Swatzell (Westwood, KS) and Hilton each collecting five shots apiece. Senior goalkeeper Jessica Bush (Houston, TX) notched her second win and shut out of the year. Bush had three saves. The Lady Eagles will travel to Sherman, Texas to play Austin College on October 15.
