Lady Eagles Fast-Break Too Much For Rust

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles used a balanced inside-outside attack to defeat Rust College 84-58 at the Hendrix Classic on Saturday.

Ozarks got 20 points from guard Lacey Johnson and 16 points from center Mandy Thomas. Johnson of Ozark nailed 6 of 9 three-pointers for the Lady Eagles, while Thomas scored 16 points and grabbed a game high 8 rebounds. Shuffield blocked 5 shots in the rout. The Lady Eagles were hot from the three-point line canning 6 of 11 in the first half and finished the game shooting 42 percent from beyond the three-point arc. The Lady Eagles are 1-1 on the season.
