Lady Eagles Fall To Lyon

Clarksville, Ark.--The Lady Eagles fell to Lyon College 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference match-up at Hurie Field.

The Lady Eagles (1-8-0, 1-3-0) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute when Lindy Swatzell scored her eleventh goal of the season, but Lyon College (3-6-0) would score three second half goals to pick up their third win of the year. Lyon scored their first goal in the 54th minute to tie the match. Swatzell scored her second goal of the match in the 70th minute to give the Lady Eagles a 2-1 advantage. But, Lyon added two unanswered goals late in the half to pull off the come-from-behind victory. Jessalyn Halsted and Lacey Howard each had assists. Both teams had 12 shots apiece in the contest. Swatzell led Ozarks with eight shots. Goalkeeper Carrie Rogers had six saves. Ozarks will host conference rival Austin College on October 2 at 1 p.m.
