Lady Eagles Fall To Hardin-Simmons

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles dropped a 94-64 decision to the Cowgirls in American Southwest Conference crossover play in Abilene, Texas.

Ozarks (1-1) didn’t fair as well in the day’s first game. Hardin-Simmons (2-1) jumped out to a 50-26 lead at intermission after nailing six three-pointers in the first five minutes of the game. The Lady Eagles shot just 37 percent from the field in the first half of play and committed 24 turnovers in the game. Ozarks would cut the lead to 61-47 in second half play, but were unable to threaten any further. Sophomore post Mandi Carter had a team-best 19 points. Senior forward Jenna Corbell added 18 points and senior guard Rachael Marble finished with 11 points. Corbell had a team-high 8 rebounds. Ozarks takes on Mary-Hardin Baylor at home on December 4.
