Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles nearly pulled off an upset against the Hendrix Lady Warriors in the Hendrix Classic, but were outscored 41-30 in the second half on their way to a 71-64 loss.

The Lady Eagles held a 34-30 half time edge, but shot only 29 percent in the second half against the 23rd ranked team in NCAA Division III. The Lady Eagles out rebounded the Lady Warriors 41-30 in the game. Christie Shuffield scored a team high 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for Ozarks. “I was extremely pleased with the performance,” Ozarks Head Coach Jack Jones said. “Hendrix came in ranked 23rd in the nation, and it was good test for our team. I think it turned out OK for our team. Hendrix put a lot of pressure on us in the second half and didn’t allow us a three-point shot.” Lamar native Mandy Thomas of Lamar scored 8 points and pulled down 4 rebounds for Ozarks. Freshman Jenna Corbell of Ashdown nailed two three-pointers on her way to scoring 8 points.
