Lady Eagles End Season

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles ended the 2009 season with a pair of losses against No. 1-ranked East Texas Baptist University over the weekend in the American Southwest Conference play.

East Texas Baptist (35-5, 21-3) would win the division title behind a 6-1 win and a 8-0 shutout against Ozarks (5-35, 3-21) Saturday. The Tigers scored three times in the first and then added two more runs in the fourth to take a commanding 5-0 lead in game one. Ozarks tallied one run in the fifth on a Kayla Harris RBI single.

Stephany Henson (2-19) took the loss in three innings of work.

The Tigers exploded for six runs in the fourth in game two’s win. Ozarks’ offense had trouble throughout the game, as they had only three hits in the contest.

Henson absorbed the loss after tossing three innings.
