Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles ended their 2010 season in impressive fashion as they swept Texas-Dallas Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Ozarks (9-31, 3-21 ASC) took home a 5-2 win in game one and then got a 4-0 shutout win in game two.

In game one, Morgan Goates broke a scoreless game in the fifth with a two-run single to center field. Kelsey Mefford capped Ozarks’ late inning offensive production with a three-run homer in the sixth to put Ozarks in front 5-0. Texas-Dallas (16-24, 5-19 ASC) got a run back in the bottom of the sixth and in the seventh, but it wouldn’t be enough.

Starter Kaci Foster (2-5) pitched five and one-third strong innings to receive the win.

Goates was a perfect 3-for-3 while Mefford finished 1-for-2 with three RBI. Colbey Russo went 2-for-4.

Pitching again propelled Ozarks to the win in game two. Starter Stephany Henson, who was making her final appearance for the Lady Eagles, threw seven shutout innings. After three scoreless innings, Henson got just enough run support to end her career with the win. In the fourth, Ali Mathis reached second on a two-bagger, and Mefford followed with another double to score the first run of the game. The final run came when Kelsey Stephens, who set the single season school record in chances and putouts this year, singled in Sarah Otteman later in the frame. In the sixth, Rebecca Groff came up with a big two-run single to give Ozarks a 4-0 cushion.

Henson (5-17) ends her career with 208 strikeouts.

Russo, Mathis and Mefford each collected two hits.
