Lady Eagles Earn 69-64 Win Over LeTourneau

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles snapped a seven-game losing skid after posting a 69-64 victory over LeTourneau University in American Southwest Conference play on Saturday in Longview, Texas.

Ozarks (6-9, 4-6) had a pair of players record double-doubles in the contest. Mandi Carter finished the game with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Lindsey Nietert had 11 points and 10 rebounds. It was Jeanne Randall, however, that finished with a game-high 23 points, including 14 in the first half. The Lady Eagles held a 34-33 halftime advantage over LeTourneau (4-12, 1-10). The Lady Eagles went up by 10 points with 9:20 left to play in the game, but the LadyJackets tied the contest at 62-62 with only 1:13 remaining. Ozarks then hit 7-of-8 from the free throw line in the final 55 seconds to secure the win. Neither team shot particularly well from the field in the game. Ozarks hit 24-of-70 (34%) from the floor while LeTourneau made 23-of-74 (31%) of their attempts. Ozarks out rebounded their opponent 56-46.
