Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles dropped a 81-67 American Southwest Conference East Division game to University of Texas-Tyler on Thursday night in Tyler, Texas.
25 turnovers plagued the Lady Eagles (6-8, 2-2) as the Lady Patriots (3-13, 1-3) picked up their first ASC East Division win of the season. Tyler jumped out to a 50-26 lead at halftime, hitting 21-of-40 (52%) field goals while Ozarks hit just 9-of-30 (30%). The Lady Eagles did out score Tyler 41-31 in the second half, but were never able to cut the lead under single digits in second half play. Mandi Carter led the squad with 19 points and 10 rebounds, marking her fifth double-double of the season. Jenna Corbell added 18 points. The Lady Eagles travel to Richardson, Texas, to face UT-Dallas in ASC action on January 24.
