Lady Eagles Drop Match To William Woods

Clarksville, Ark.--The Lady Eagles dropped a 4-1 decision to William Woods University on Tuesday night in a non-conference women's soccer battle at the Clarksville High School football field.

William Woods University (10-7-0, 3-0-0) scored two first half goals on their way to a 4-1 victory over the Lady Eagles (4-13-0, 4-7-0). The Lady Owls first goal came in the 20th minute by Lauren Holst. They would add another in the 37th minute and end first half play with a 2-0 lead. Williams Woods, located in Fulton, Missouri, scored two goals within a four-minute span in the second half to secure the match. Ozarks scored when Lindy Swatzell netted her 19th goal of the season in the 74th minute. Swatzell looped the shot over one defender and the goalkeeper from 15 yards out to give the Lady Eagles their 36th goal of the year. Ozarks will travel to Kerrville, Texas, to face Schreiner University on October 30 and Seguin, Texas, to face Texas Lutheran University on October 31.
