Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles (7-10, 3-3) dropped a 62-53 contest to the Lady Wildcats (9-9, 5-2) in a game in which Ozarks played without star forward Jenna Corbell.
Corbell is expected to return to action on February 5. The Lady Wildcats jumped out of the gate early taking a 14-3 lead after nine minutes of play and would take a 30-19 lead into halftime. Ozarks did force 16 turnovers in first half action, but shot 8-of-30 (26%) from the field. The Lady Eagles would cut the deficit to 47-41 with 5:52 left in the game on a Jamie Johnson free throw, but that would be as close as Ozarks would get. Mandi Carter recorded her sixth double-double of the season after scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Tiffany Villines added 10 points.
