Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team dropped an American Southwest Conference match to Louisiana College over the weekend.

Ozarks (0-11-0, 0-6-0)out shot Louisiana College (1-10-0, 1-6-0) 25-19 and had 13 shots on goal in Saturday’s 1-0 loss in Pineville, Louisiana. The Lady Wildcats scored in the 74nd minute to secure their first win. ????? Emma Cantele recorded a career-high seven shots, including four shots on goal. McGill had six shots. Falls had five saves. ????? "I thought we played with a lot of effort against Mississippi College," said head coach Justin Neese. "We played smarter than we’ve played all season in that match. We were able to do different things that we weren’t able to do before. I thought it was a good performance for us. Against Louisiana College, we were the more threatening team the entire match, but we had a lack of concentration that hurt us." "I am happy that we are coming around to the idea that it takes a lot of sacrifice to be a competitive athlete," said Neese. "We have to work harder than most of the teams we play against, and the girls realize that. We need to be more consistent the rest of the season. We are building ideas on what it takes to be successful." ????? Ozarks will host Hardin-Simmons University on October 14 and McMurry University on October 15. Both matches start at 3:00 p.m.
