Lady Eagles Dominate UT-Tyler

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles rolled to a 83-73 victory over UT-Tyler in American Southwest Conference play on Thursday night.

The Lady Eagles (9-15, 5-8) used a dominating inside game to oust a physical UT-Tyler (8-16, 6-7) squad 83-73. Forwards Mandi Carter and Jenna Corbell combined for 48 points and 19 rebounds in the contest and helped Ozarks shoot 49 percent from the field in the game. Carter shot 9-of-16 (56%) while Corbell shot 9-of-14 (64%) from the floor. The Lady Eagles ended the game shooting 42 percent from the three-point line and 71 percent from the free throw line. Carter grabbed 13 rebounds and Corbell followed with 6 rebounds. Corbell shot 4-of-f 6 from the three-point line. Saturday’s women’s game is set for 1:00 p.m., followed by the men’s contest at 3:00 p.m. Six seniors will be honored following the women’s game and Homecoming will be held at halftime of the men’s game.
