Lady Eagles Collect ASC Win Over Schreiner

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles gained a 81-71 American Southwest Conference victory over Schreiner University on Sunday night in Kerrville, Texas.

Ozarks (2-6, 2-3) came back from a 39-40 first half deficit to pick up their second ASC win of the season. After battling back and forth in the first half, Ozarks would eventually take the lead for good on a Jeanne Randall lay-up with 7:19 left in the game. The Lady Eagles scored 15 points in the first half off of turnovers and forced 25 turnovers in the contest. Ozarks helped its own cause by shooting 15-of-18 (83%) from the free throw line in the game. Schreiner dropped to 0-11 and 0-8 in ASC play. Freshmen Erica Eneks and Olivia Fisher paced the team with 24 and 17 points, respectively. Lindsey Nietert scored 14 points for Ozarks. Eneks shot 6-of-15 (40%) from the three-point line in the game and Fisher shot 8-of-13 (61.5%) from the field. Fisher recorded a team-best 8 rebounds. The Lady Eagles and Eagles play at Texas Lutheran University tonight in ASC action.
