Clarksville, Ark.-The Mississippi College Lady Choctaws scored five goals in each half to hand Ozarks a 10-0 setback in American Southwest Conference play Saturday.
The Choctaws (5-0-1, 2-0-0) recorded 29 shots in the match and Hollye Henderson, Christy Wyne and Roni Salens each scored two goals. Mississippi College made an early statement, scoring in the 9th, 13th and 14th minute to lead 3-0. A pair of late goals in the first half gave the visiting Choctaws a 5-0 advantage after 45 minutes of play. Ozarks (0-6-1, 0-1-1 ASC) took all three of their shots in the first half, but were unable to get past the Choctaw defense in the second half to record a shot.
Ozarks goalkeeper Morgan O’Neil recorded 13 saves.
Ozarks will travel to Abilene, Texas, to face McMurry University September 24 and Hardin-Simmons University September 25.
