Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles (13-6), (5-3) are now in third place, one game behind league leader East Texas Baptist, after a 60-56 setback to Mississippi College on February 2.
The Lady Eagles led 29-23 at halftime, but Mississippi College’s Rusti Smith nailed three straight three-pointers to push the Lady Choctaws to a win. The game stayed close throughout the second half thanks to six Lady Eagle three-pointers. Ozarks hit ten from beyond the arc in the game. Shuffield and Jenna Corbell each scored 12 points to pace the Lady Eagles. Shuffield had a team high 11 rebounds while Corbell hit four three-pointers. Thomas scored 11 points and Jennifer Goodwin scored 9 points on 3 of 4 shooting from the three-point line.
