Clarksville, Ark.-Karli Kenley has been hired as the assistant women?s basketball coach at the University of the Ozarks, it was announced by athletic director Jimmy Clark.
Kenley, a native of Little Rock, played at Central Baptist College two seasons where she earned All-Region, All-Conference and Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year during the 2011-2012 season. Kenley also took All-America honors, All-Region honors and team Offensive Player of the Year following the 2008-2009 season. She played at Central Arkansas Christian where she was named All-State and helped the Lady Mustangs to three straight state championships.
“We are very fortunate to have Karli join our program,” said head coach Carl Ramsey. “She is enthusiastic and has a love for the game. She has an understanding of the NCAA III philosophy and our conference. She can help us in recruiting because of her connections in the Little Rock area. She also has a good knowledge of weight training and conditioning. She will work with our guards during practice and games. She knows what it takes to be successful.”
Kenley served as an AAU Coach and a summer camp coach at Central Arkansas Christian prior to Ozarks. She most recently participated in the Athletes in Action 2012 Summer Tour in Mexico.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central Baptist College in 2012.
