Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks junior first baseman Chelsea Joslin was named American Southwest Conference East Division Hitter of the Week, announced ASC Director of Media Relations Greg Weghorst on Monday.
<#IMAGE:1#>Joslin, a 5-foot-8 native of Claremore, Okla., was a key player in helping the Lady Eagles to a 4-2 week, including a 3-1 start in ASC play. Joslin hit .529 with two home runs and five RBI over a six-game stretch. The power-hitting Joslin went 7-for-11 in the four-game series against Texas-Dallas. She recorded 3 RBI against Ouachita Baptist University on March 13 and went 3-for-5 against UT-Dallas on March 16. She produced five runs and stole three bases during the week. Joslin is batting .400, and leads the team in home runs (3), slugging percentage (.675) and total bases (27). A two-time All-Conference player, Joslin is the school’s career leader in home runs (15). She is a graduate of Claremore High School where she earned All-State, All-Region and All-Conference honors. The Lady Eagles are currently 7-7overall and 3-1 in ASC play.
