Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles picked up a 85-74 win against LeTourneau (6-17, 5-7) on Saturday and remained in contention for a spot in the playoffs.
Ozarks got six three-pointers from Brent Johnson and out rebounded the Yellow Jackets 50-29 in the contest. The Eagles held a 37-36 lead at intermission. Mike Taylor’s dunk with 3:40 remaining gave the Eagles a 70-62 advantage. Ozarks canned 13-of-21 (61%) from the free throw line in the second half to secure the win. Johnson led Ozarks with 24 points. Taylor added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Geoff Owens chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ozarks travels to Sherman, Texas, to face Austin College on Tuesday. The men’s game will be the first game of the evening beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by the women’s contest at 7:30 p.m.
