Johanson Named Assistant Baseball Coach

Clarksville, Ark.-John Johanson has been hired as an assistant baseball coach at the University of the Ozarks, it was announced by athletic director and head baseball coach Jimmy Clark.

Johanson, a native of Medford, Mass., served as the head assistant coach at NCAA III Newbury College in Boston from 2009 and 2010 under current Boston College assistant coach Greg Sullivan. Johanson played at NCAA III Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H., where he was a three-year starter in the middle infield. In 2004, Johanson was selected to play in the Steve Buckley Oldtime Baseball game.

His other coaching experience includes three years with IHB baseball. He was named the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald team Most Valuable Player his senior season at Arlington Catholic.

Johanson graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Colby-Sawyer.
