Job Readiness Workshop for Single Mothers set for July 9 at U of O

The Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund will present a job and career readiness workshop for single mothers on Wednesday, July 9, on the campus of University of the Ozarks in Clarksville.

The workshop, which is free for single mothers, will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Boreham Business Building. The workshop will feature job readiness coach Dr. Jan McCormick and will highlight such job-related topics as resume writing, networking, interviewing techniques, personal branding, stress management, job searches and more. Each attendee who completes the training will receive a $50 Walmart gas card. Free childcare and lunch will also be provided. The deadline to pre-register is Monday, July 7.

McCormick brings 20 years of research and experience as a global career coach and instructor with expertise in job readiness and career advancement. She is a published author and has been nationally recognized for her online Job Readiness Assessment© and supporting video production, "The 7 Savvy Secrets of Job Winners." She provides JobLingo bootcamps to schools and non-profits throughout the United States.
