JLC to be represented at upcoming fairs, conferences

University of the Ozarks? Jones Learning Center Director Julia Frost will attend several fairs and conferences throughout the country over the next few months to share the benefits of the JLC.

On Oct. 24, she will represent the JLC and Ozarks in Northwest Arkansas at the Transition Resource Fair, hosted by Bentonville, Rogers and Heritage high schools. The fair will be held in the Wal-Mart Auditorium, located in the Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technologies at Northwest Arkansas Community College. The event runs from 4-7 p.m.

From Oct. 26-29, Frost will attend the International Dyslexia Association’s annual conference in Orlando, Fla., where she will have an exhibit to represent the JLC.  Further information on the conference can be found at https://dyslexiaida.org/2016-annual-conference/

From Nov. 2-4, she will attend the Independent Educational Consultants Annual Conference in New Orleans. She will have an information booth about the JLC at the school and college fair on Thursday. On Friday she will make a presentation with colleagues from two other postsecondary programs titled, Choosing the Right Postsecondary Option: Insights from Inside.”  More information can be found here: http://www.iecaonline.com/conferences.html

On Feb. 16-19, Frost will attend the Learning Disabilities Association’s annual conference in Baltimore, where she will again present, “Choosing the Right Postsecondary Option:  Insights from Inside,” with two colleagues.
