Jeremy Provence Named ASC Runner of the Week

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior Jeremy Provence was named the American Southwest Conference Male Runner of the Week, the ASC office announced Monday.

Provence, from Winslow, Ark., posted a 26:45.15 to finish third place individually at the 8K MC Watson Ford Invitational in Clinton, Miss., October 7. Provence was the first NCAA Division III runner to finish in the field of 107. He also helped the Eagles to a third-place team finish. Provence set a personal-best 8K time at the Ozarks Invitational (26:26) October 1, which was the sixth-fastest time in school history. Provence has been a member of the ASC All-Academic Team for two seasons.

He is a graduate of Mountainburg High School where he earned All-State and All-Conference during his prep career.

Ozarks will host the Arkansas NCAA III championships October 19.
