Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks junior catcher Jeremy Hogan was named the American Southwest Conference East Division co-Hitter of the Week, it was announced by ASC Media Relations Director Greg Weghorst Monday.
Hogan, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound Carthage, Texas, product nearly hit for the cycle, going 4-for-5 with two home runs, one triple, one double and six RBIs in a win over Williams Baptist February 13. His two-run shot in the second put the Eagles ahead 9-1, and his second two-run blast in the sixth gave the Eagles a 14-3 advantage. Hogan also scored three times and walked once in the game.
Hogan has started in all five games and is batting .474 with 3 homers and 9 RBI. He is a graduate of Carthage High School where he helped the Bulldogs to a state championship his senior year.
Ozarks will host Hendrix College Tuesday and then host ASC foe McMurry University (2-3) in a three-game set Friday and Saturday.
