Clarksville, Ark.-U of O forward Jenna Corbell was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week after averaging 24.5 points and 12.5 rebounds over the Lady Eagles' two-game split last week.
The 5-10 junior from Ashdown shot a blistering 74 percent from the floor (20-of-27), scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds against Concordia-Austin (Dec. 5) and 31 points and 15 rebounds against Mary Hardin-Baylor (Dec. 7). Corbell also finished the week with 11 assists and seven steals. Corbell is currently leading the team in scoring (22.1), rebounding (10.5) and steals (17) through seven games this season. She has scored in double figures and has led Ozarks in scoring in all of the Lady Eagles games. Corbell was named to the ASC All-East Division Second Team last season. Corbell is a 2000 graduate of Ashdown High School.
