Jared Gordon Named ASC Offensive Player of the Week

Clarksville, Ark.-Junior forward Jared Gordon was named American Southwest Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Eagles (9-1-2, 5-0-1) to two conference road wins over the weekend.

Gordon, a 6-0, 160-pound native of Plano, Texas, netted the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute against Mississippi College on Friday to lift Ozarks to a 1-0 ASC road victory. Gordon’s score in the 62nd minute helped Ozarks remain undefeated on the road in league play. He tallied 4 shots in the match, with three of those being shots on goal. The junior came back on Saturday against Louisiana College to record a goal in the 4-0 victory. Gordon totaled six shots over the ASC weekend and helped the Eagles move back into second-place in the ASC standings. He has four goals and four assists this season. ????? Gordon earned All-ASC third team a year ago. He has 19 career goals, fifth-best in school history. He is a 2003 graduate of Plano High School where earned All-District honorable mention as a junior and led his team in scoring as a junior and senior.
