James Paces Ozarks At NCAA Regionals

Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore cross country runner David James paced Ozarks at the NCAA III South/Southeast Regional Saturday in Greensboro, North Carolina, by finishing in the top-30.

James was among 174 runners in the 8K race and finished 27th overall after running a 28:26. Among American Southwest Conference runners, James was second as he finished behind UT-Tyler’s Jeff Chandler, who ran a 28:03. Sophomore Tristan Cooper finished 41st after running a 28:54. Sophomore Jeremy Provence was 90th with a time of 30:31. Lynchburg’s Ricky Flynn won the event with a time of 26:10.

Tadera Garland was one of 189 runners in the women’s 6K. The sophomore finished 158th with a time of 30:15.

The Rhodes College women won the regional as did the Emory University men’s team.
