Clarksville, Ark.-Work was recently completed at the Hurie Softball Field to improve its appearance and to provide better spectator viewing.
The field received a new concrete-block backstop that extends to each dugout. The chain link fence behind home plate was removed and replaced with netting. A concrete area was also added behind the backstop for the sale of chair back seats. The new concrete will also provide space for additional bleachers. The work was done over the Christmas break.
The Lady Eagles will begin the season February 25 in Irving, Texas. The first home game is March 9.
