Clarksville, Ark.- The University of the Ozarks men's and women's basketball teams will hold "Hoops Madness" on Tuesday, October 20 beginning at 8:00 p.m. in Mabee Gymnasium.
Both teams will hold a 20-minute scrimmage during the event. Among the activities are a player dunk contest and fan shooting competition. Prizes will also be given away to fans. The public is encouraged to attend and admission will be free. A pep rally and bonfire will be held at 7:00 p.m. behind Cary-Wortz apartments.
The men will open the season November 15 against Hendrix College in Conway. The Lady Eagles will open the season in the Ecclesia Classic in Springdale against Ecclesia College November 20 and College of the Ozarks November 21.
