Holt, Friant Finish Among Top-15 At Lois Davis Invitational

Magnolia, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men?s cross country team had a pair of runners finish in the top-15 at the Lois Davis Invitational hosted by Southern Arkansas University Saturday.

Freshman Ryan Holt was once again impressive as he finished third in the 8K race running a 26:24. Only NCAA II runners Dorian McCradic and Everett Wilder from Texas A&M-Commerce finished ahead of Holt. Senior Matt Friant place 15th in the race running a 28:04. Robert Elder ran a 34:37 for 44th place and Max Hilgendorf ran a 38:43 for 48th overall.
    
In the women’s 5K race, senior Kara Willbanks was Ozarks top finisher running a 24:15 for 42nd place. Ellery Mayleben ran a 26:48 for 55th place. Emily Gorham finished 58th with a time of 28:33.
    
Ozarks will host the Arkansas D-III Championships October 23.
