Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore forward Ron Hogsett has scored seven goals in the Eagles' last four matches, including tallying his fourth career game in which he has scored at least three goals in a match.

The 5-8, 150-pound native of McKinney, Texas, scored his seventh, eighth and ninth goals of the season in a 6-1 win over Louisiana College on October 9. It was the second time Hogsett has scored three goals in a match this season. He recorded three goals in last week’s match against East Texas Baptist and was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week for his performance. "At the beginning of the season, we had him playing in the central midfield and then we moved him to the striker position and now his opportunities to score have increased," said head coach Dave De Hart. Hogsett currently leads the team in goals (9) and points (21) and is now tied for third in the conference in each of those categories. He already ranks fourth on Ozarks career goals (22) and career points (52) list. "He’s cleaver with the ball and has a knack for getting a shot off in what can sometimes be an awkward position," said De Hart. "Often times, he catches the goalkeeper napping. He also has a special talent to finish around the goal." Hogsett was named the ASC’s East Division Offensive Freshman of the Year last season and earned a spot on the ASC All-East Division First Team after leading the conference in points (31) and finishing second in goals (13). He is a 2002 graduate of McKinney High School. Ozarks will play their next four conference matches at home, facing East Texas Baptist on October 17 and LeTourneau on October 18.
