Clarksville, Ark.-A two-goal performance by junior forward Ricky Herrera propelled the Eagles past Bacone College 3-0 in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Tuesday.
The Eagles (2-2) out shot Bacone 15-6 in the match, including recording nine shots on goal. Herrera scored his first goal of the season with just under five minutes to play in the first half on a header. Zack Boatwright recorded the assist. Freshman Malcolm Williams scored his first collegiate goal three minutes later to put the Eagles up 2-0. Freshman Ron Hogsett had the assist. Herrera nailed his second goal of the game with fifteen minutes left in the match. Taylor Magee recorded the assist. Goalkeeper Chris Schultz picked up his second win of the season. The Eagles will play host to Rust College on September 14 at 3 p.m.
