Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore forward Ricky Herrera was named American Southwest Conference men's soccer Player of the Week for his performance in the Eagles' last two conference victories.

Herrera, a native of Las Cruces, New Mexico, earned the honor after totaling seven points in a 5-2 win over LeTourneau University and a 1-0 win over East Texas Baptist University. Against LeTourneau, Herrera scored two goals and had one assist and scored the game’s only goal against ETBU. The 5-10, 150-pound Herrera now has 11 goals and four assists on the year. This marks the fourth Ozarks’ player to receive the honor this season. Herrera, last season’s ASC Freshman of the Year, has been a major part of the Eagles current 11-0-1 record and first place standing in the ASC. He now has 22 goals and 51 points in his career.
