With the score tied at 6-6, the Lady Eagles scored a momentum-changing four on three hits, while taking advantage of three LeTourneau (7-19, 0-10) errors. Stacy Simpson and Brooke Grice highlighted the eighth with back-to-back doubles. Chelsea Joslin homered in the fourth to increase Ozarks’ lead to 6-0. However, the Lady Jackets stormed back in the bottom of the sixth to tie the contest. Andrea Mitchell started the game and went five and one-third innings. Henson (8-4) came in relief and pitched two and two-third innings and accounted for one run. Kara Bartholomew went 4-for-5 and Stacy Simpson went 3-for-5 with 4 RBI. It was Joslin’s fifth home run of the season. In game two, Henson threw a two-hit shutout as the Lady Eagles took a 1-0 victory. A sacrifice RBI by Bartholomew scored Jessica Pianalto in the third, proving to be all Henson would need. The right-hander struck out three and did not issue a walk in seven innings of work. Jodie Clark went 2-for-2. The two teams square off Friday in a double-header beginning at 11:00 a.m.
