Clarksville, Ark.-Hendrix College clung to a 2-0 halftime lead and then added three more goals in the second half to complete a 5-0 shutout against the Lady Eagles Monday night.
Hendrix’s Rebecca Rahn and Mel Roach gave the Lady Eagles trouble on the attack throughout the match. Roach scored in the 18th minute on an assist from Rahn and Rahn would add a goal in the 39th minute on a pass from Roach. Leading 2-0, Roach took another pass from Rahn and scored in the 67th minute to give Hendrix (3-3-0) a 3-0 advantage. Rahn later scored again for the Warriors late in the second half. Alex Cannon and Lauren Gilby each paced Ozarks (1-4-0) with two shots.
Ozarks will begin conference play next weekend when it travels to Louisiana and Mississippi to face Louisiana College September 15 and Mississippi College September 17.
