Hendrix Generates Big Second Inning In Win

Clarksville, Ark.-Hendrix College used a six-run second inning to cruise to a 14-2 win over the Eagles Wednesday night in Conway.

The Warriors (12-6) hit one home run, one triple, three doubles and ten singles against seven Ozarks’ pitchers during the non-conference affair. Leading 1-0, Hendrix scored six runs off three hits and one error in the bottom of the second to break the game open. Ozarks (6-11) scored in the top of the third when Chris Driedric hit a two-run homer. The Warriors eventually held a 9-2 lead and then added three more runs in the sixth to put the game away.

Alex Rodriguez (0-1) suffered the loss. Mitchell Powers had a pair of hits for the Eagles.

Ozarks will host East Texas Baptist University March 16-17 in an American Southwest Conference three-game series.
