Hendrix College Women Net Win

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women shot 66 percent in the first half, but only 25 percent in the second half to suffer a 81-67 setback against Hendrix College Tuesday night.

The Lady Eagles (1-2) hit 16 field goals in the first twenty minutes of action and held a narrow 43-42 lead at intermission. Taylor Farmer pumped in 14 first half points for Ozarks, which hit 50 percent from the free throw line.

Hendrix (2-3) took an early lead in the second half and extended its advantage to 60-46 with 11:58 left. The Lady Eagles did battle back to pull within five points with about seven minutes to play, but couldn’t get any closer.

Farmer led the team with 14 points and Anisha Johnson followed with 13 points.

Ozarks will host Texas-Tyler in its conference opener Saturday.
