Clarksville, Ark.-Hardin-Simmons University scored a pair of goals in each half as they shutout the Lady Eagles 4-0 in American Southwest Conference play on Friday in Abilene, Texas.
Ozarks (3-7-0, 1-3-0) played tough in the opening half, but the Cowgirls (6-2-2, 5-0-0) took the match’s momentum when they scored both goals late. The first came in the 41st minute, and the second followed with just 33 seconds left in the half. Hardin-Simmons scored twice more to remain unbeaten in ASC play.
The Cowgirls had 33 shots in the match. Ozarks goalkeeper Lori Langman finished with 14 saves.
Ozarks will play McMurry University Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
