Hardin-Simmons Hands Women’s Soccer Team Loss

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team dropped a 6-0 setback to the #13-ranked Hardin-Simmons University Cowgirls on Friday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play.

Hardin-Simmons (12-1-0, 9-0-0) scored two quick goals in the first half to take the match’s momentum and force the Lady Eagles (0-12-0, 0-7-0) into an early comeback mode. Hardin-Simmons proved their worthy of their national ranking with a goal in the 10th, 15th and the 26th minutes to put the match in their control. Ozarks’ offense was limited to just one shot in the first half. The Cowgirls offensive performance in the first half saw them crank out 16 shots. The Cowgirls ended the match with a 27-1 shots advantage. ????? Goalkeeper Jessica Falls recorded 11 saves. Emma Cantele registered the team’s only shot. ????? Ozarks will host McMurry University tomorrow in ASC action. The match will start at 3:00 p.m.
