Gonzalez Named Player of the Week After Breaking NCAA Record

Clarksville, Ark.-U of O senior forward Marcos Gonzalez was named American Southwest Conference men's soccer Player of the Week for his performance in the Eagles' last two games.

Gonzalez, a Georgetown, Texas native, received the honor after breaking a 21-year-old NCAA III record by recording eight assists in a game on September 4. He scored one goal in a win over University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday for a total of ten points in the Eagles’ two victories. Gonzalez is a Business Administration major.
