Pineville, La.-The Eagles went just 15-of-28 (53%) from the free throw line in Thursday?s 77-69 loss to Louisiana College.
The Eagles (4-12, 2-11 ASC) kept the game close in the first half and held the lead three times. Ozarks tied the game, 27-27, with 3:27 left in the half on a pair of Marcus Bobb free throws. But Louisiana College (5-8, 5-6 ASC) went into intermission with a 35-29 advantage.
Ozarks pulled within 39-38 at the 16:30 mark of the second half. Five minutes later, the Wildcats held a 55-45 lead. The Eagles would trim the deficit to six points on a number of occasions. However, that was as close as Ozarks could get.
Ronnie Dodd posted a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Joshua Clark added 14 points.
Ozarks will travel to Mississippi College January 21.
